About the novel – Around the World in Eighty Days (Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours) is a novel of the French author Jules Verne, published for the first time in 1873. In this story, the Londoner Phileas Fogg and his French valet Passepartout attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days to win a bet of £ 20,000 signed with the companions of the Reform Club.
