Technique – Handwriting of the books “City of fears, city of hopes” and “Liquid life”  by Zygmunt Bauman

In this work I wanted to testify the infrastructural, social and economic development of Vienna from 1996 (the year of my arrival in Vienna) to today. The time elapsed and the related development of the city are given by the depth of the picture and by the rectangular figures of various colors and of gradually increasing size which, inserted inside a grid structure (which gives the idea of ​​a scaffolding) , represent the change and expansion of the city that occurred, according to my perception, in a constant and harmonious way.
Therefore, these are the concepts that I intended to depict in this work, namely:
1) The flowing of time = Depth
2) Expansion, Construction and Development of the city = Geometric figures of increasing size
3) Harmonic development of the city = Overall harmonic perception of the geometric and chromatic structure of the painting.
